Ballistic Armor Layer
Structural Impact Protection
The outermost structural layer provides ballistic-rated protection against high-velocity projectiles and blunt-force trauma. Engineered from advanced composite materials selected for optimal strength-to-weight ratios, this layer forms the primary physical barrier of the Aegis platform.
CBRN Isolation Layer
Chemical, Biological, Radiological & Nuclear Barrier
A hermetically sealed environmental isolation layer providing full-spectrum CBRN protection. Integrated multi-stage filtration systems and positive-pressure architecture prevent ingress of chemical agents, biological pathogens, radiological particulates, and nuclear fallout.
Electromagnetic Shielding Layer
Broadband EM & EMP Attenuation
Engineered conductive mesh architecture provides broadband electromagnetic attenuation across RF, microwave, and EMP spectra. Based on Faraday-principle enclosure design, this layer protects both the operator and any integrated electronics from directed energy and electromagnetic pulse events.
Radiation Mitigation Layer
Ionizing Radiation Attenuation
Layered radiation attenuation materials provide protection against ionizing radiation sources including gamma, beta, and neutron exposure environments. Material selection and layer geometry are optimized for maximum attenuation per unit weight, maintaining operator mobility under radiological threat conditions.
Kinetic Energy Harvesting Layer
Autonomous Onboard Power Generation
Piezoelectric and kinetic harvesting arrays integrated throughout the suit structure convert operator movement into sustained electrical output. This autonomous power generation layer eliminates dependence on external power sources, enabling indefinite field operation of integrated electronic subsystems.
Integrated Systems Architecture
Unified Platform & Modular Interface
The innermost systems layer unifies all five protection layers under a single wearable platform with modular subsystem interfaces. Field-configurable architecture allows mission-specific adaptation, subsystem hot-swapping, and integration of operator support electronics including communications, biometric monitoring, and environmental sensing.
